Our beautiful game

Rose Hill JFC is a different kind of community club. We’re affordable and inclusive, but what makes us stand out from the rest is our belief that every child joining us should be treated and valued as an individual.

Our committee members and volunteers work tirelessly to give all children the best experience possible and keep the club at the heart of the local community.

We have 18 teams playing in the Stockport Metro League and the award-winning Manchester Respect League.

Our younger age groups thrive in the environment created by the Respect League. The first of its six guiding principles is vital in the foundation stage of learning: we play to learn, not just to win.

This patient approach undoubtedly makes better footballers over time. Footballers who are:

  • well-rounded

  • technically gifted

  • better decision-makers

  • more confident

  • more resilient

  • team-spirited

We’re proud that our Rose Hill parents and carers embrace this philosophy, support the coaches, and allow the kids to enjoy their football.

Our past is our future

Rose Hill JFC was founded in the early 1990s to give boys and girls who’d been turned away by other clubs a chance to play football locally.

Since then the club has grown in size and stature with age groups now spanning U7s to U17s. Local children also benefit from our ongoing partnership with Footytotz – an early years play programme for children aged 18 months to five years.

Despite competing with the growing number of ‘academy’ clubs, we remain true to our ethos and roots – giving every boy and girl a chance to learn how to play the beautiful game in the right way.
